Featuring giant treads instead of wheels.

Lamborghinis is already an engineering masterpiece, but it becomes even more so when people decide to promote it. That's what designer Michael Hritz, also known as Hritzkrieg, did with this new model called Lamborghini LMXX2.

Urgent mission to face Instagram contest

You can see from the pictures that it has some wonderful surfaces that rotate around the car which shows that it can even deal with the most difficult terrain such as sand, rocks and soil. IE spoke to Hritzkrieg about his innovative design and suddenly described it as "an urgent task to meet the Instagram deadline."

The contest he's referring to is the AGP contest on Instagram that asked participants to visualize a design using the keywords "Desert + Lamborghini + Future."

"The night before the deadline, I thought, what kind of madness will the Italians bring. Having spent time driving on the dunes and riding an RWD Diablo, I knew the entire bottom of the car had to be moving. To be a tank. In order to keep it low but there is still the possibility of seeing, the paths needed to bypass the surface. I quickly pulled out the Oculus Quest 2 and used Gravity Sketch to fear what was in my head during the next hour. Then I've displayed the model in Cinema4d/Octane in 3 views that have been heavily painted in Photoshop, " explained Heritzkrieg.
The bold designer said it took only five hours to come up with this impressive concept. And impressive is! The prototype of the car was built with efficiency and power in mind

"Because I was doing 3D models quickly in Gravity Sketch, I was thinking about some details like the angle of the top track angle so that they were more aerodynamic as they moved forward, putting the track in the center to better remove obstacles, adding a rear wing that worked more like a barrier than an antenna element. I also think that as much glass as possible on the canopy will help the user feel "locked in" tracks. I think this was also an exercise in proportions, moving away from the typical side view and how to rebalance it," the designer also noted.

Strong prominent paths

Hritzkrieg believes that the car's tracks will be the most famous and innovative feature in his car.

"I expect (in my head) that this thing will not need a tremendous amount of strength (and the accompanying weight) to rise even on the steepest dunes. It will also be a completely luxurious experience never to stumble, have a flat, and be able to slide. Think about it more, since tracks weigh more than frames, you can use them when jumping to correct the angle in the air. In fact, it's going to be terribly complicated, I know engineers who look at this complain. Think of the stack of warranty claims."

For now, the car is still a series of photos but who knows maybe lamborghini is the inspiration for creating a real version.
