The traditional six-bedroom house and a list of laundry amenities are located in the city's Brentwood district.

NBA star LeBron James is looking for a buyer for his Los Angeles home, a large gated property that came to market Monday for $20.5 million.

Located on a street in the city's luxurious Brentwood district and isolated behind towering redwoods and hedges, the traditional style has been part of the athletes' real estate portfolio since 2015.

But the sale -- if put forward -- would result in the loss of the Los Angeles Lakers star, who paid less than $21 million for the house using a limited liability company, property records show.

The six-bedroom home spans more than 9,400 square feet and "will envelop you with quality and elegance," according to david offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, which, through a representative, declined to comment on the property.

The house also has two family rooms, a swimming pool and spa, a poolside cabana, resort-like grounds, and a basketball net at the end of the corridor.

Mr. James, 36, is no stranger to high-quality real estate dealings.

Last year, the four-time NBA champion - who played before joining the Lakers in 2018 with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat - earned a $36.75 million mansion in Beverly Hills that he bought from the property of the late Lee Philip Bell, who co-created the television series "The Young and the Restless" and the subsection "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Mr James also owns another Brentwood property he bought in 2017 for $23 million.
