The mid-century mansion seems to have sold for $14.5 million -- $1 million less than the TV personality paid nine years ago.

Simon Cowell quietly emptied a modern mid-century property in Beverly Hills, California. Mr Cowell , 60, the beloved judge at America's Got Talent, has not officially listed the four-bedroom house for sale. But details of the deal were updated to say that the luxury title sold earlier this month for $14.5 million - representing a significant loss to the English TV personality.

A representative for the star could not be immediately reached for comment, and updated details of the state of the house are scarce since Mr.Cowell  has never officially listed the property.

Originally designed in the 1960s by Harold Levitt, a local architect who designed several celebrity mansions, including for the likes of Steven Spielberg and Olivia Newton-John.

The house was stretching over 7,200 square feet when Mr Cowell  bought it, including four bedrooms and four full bathrooms - although it was granted permission in 2014 to add several million dollars to the property, building records show.

The old property menu also includes a private viewing room and a gym. The previous photo shows a secluded outdoor balcony with a charming swimming pool area, although this also got the green light to reshape it five years ago.

Mr.Cowell  , a big heavyweight in the music industry who started creating the TV talent contest "The X Factor" and "Got Talent" franchise, seems to be loosening his Los Angeles real estate portfolio. He recently sold a bigger property in Beverly Hills for $25 million.
